Kaycie Yeager
Kaycie first expressed an interest in art when she would paint alongside her mom as a young girl. Her childhood home was filled with her mother’s oil paintings and watercolors, which served as an inspiration to her.
But along came a career to interrupt her aspirations. For 12 years, she owned a business that specialized in business communication, which involved writing and designing newsletters, annual reports and yearbooks for a variety of clients. She also wrote press releases, catalog copy and corporate brochures. During Kaycie’s career, she also held positions as advertising manager for a number of retail businesses, worked in commercial real estate, was the midnight voice of Krater 96FM radio, and handled marketing for the Honolulu Academy of Arts and Oahu Country Club.
After living in Tahiti for one glorious year, Kaycie moved back to Oahu to complete studies at the University of Hawaii in Art History, Drawing, Botanical Drawing and Watercolor. She began presenting her art in 2005 with group shows at Honolulu Hale (Honolulu’s City Hall) and Ho’omaluhia Botanical Gardens in Kaneohe.
